Agitation Which Delays Our War Industries is "Made In Germany"

Poster featuring a cartoon illustration of two men meeting in "Plot Alley." One or both men are saying: "You're all right!" One man is wearing a suit labeled: "Agitator" and has a paper marked: "German Pay" in his pocket. He is shaking hands with a caricatured German knight, who is handing him an Iron Cross. A cartoon blackbird is commenting: "He'll get the double cross from him later." The German's sword is labeled: "Frightfulness." On the ground behind the agitator are scrolls labeled: "Waste, Strife, Plots, Fires, Disloyalty, Plots to Blow Up U.S. Shipyards, Inside Information for Germany, Industrial Unrest, Draft Scandals, Dates of Sailings of U.S. Transports, and Munitions Plants Destroyed." These are all bundled together as Report of Agitation in the U.S. Poster text reads: "AGITATION WHICH DELAYS OUR WAR INDUSTRIES IS 'MADE IN GERMANY' In the first seven months after America's entrance into this war for human freedom, enemy agitators in our midst caused 283,402 workers to lose 6,285,519 days of production. Our war industries were heavily handicapped by this unpatriotic strife. LET US ALL PULL TOGETHER TO WIN THE WAR QUICKLY." |
