Noted author and Portage native Zona Gale received her Bachelor of Literature degree in 1895 and her Masters of Literature in 1899, both from the University of Wisconsin. She was awarded the Pulitzer Prize in drama in 1921 for her stage adaptation of her 1920 novel Miss Lulu Bett. |
