Old Wade House; Spare Bedroom
Text on reverse reads: "On the second floor landing of the back stairs is a 'spare' bedroom with its trundle bed. Early travelers' accounts describe Wade House as a favorite stopping place with as many as 200 people sometimes seeking lodging for the night. Sylvanus Wade was noted for his hospitality and used every bit of available space to accommodate his guests." |
