Old Wade House; Green Parlor
Ektachrome postcard of the Green Parlor, with a mannequin of a man in period dress sitting in a chair. Text on reverse reads: "The Green Parlor or sitting room is on the second floor. As the stagecoach traffic declined the upstairs rooms sometimes were rented as apartment units. The melodeon was purchased at Fond du Lac for $60 in 1864 for Allie Stannard. Allie, then employed at the inn at $12 a month 'and keep' later married Hollis Wade." |
