Butternut House
Color postcard view towards the Butternut House. A tour guide and touring group are standing on the front steps of the porch. Text on reverse reads: "The Butternut House, so called because of the extensive use of native butternut for both exterior and interior work, was the home of Charles and Julia (Wade) Robinson. Robinson operated the sawmill and is believed to be responsible for the architectural design of Wade House as well as that of his own home and the Methodist Church across the street." |
