A large crowd of protesters standing on the street outside the Republican presidential debate. The group are mostly college age, although a young boy is standing in the front of the crowd. The protesters are holding signs, most reading: "Black Lives Matter, Immigrant Justice, and Fight for $15," but a few people are holding handmade signs such as: "On Land of Native Americans All Are Immigrants" and "Donald Trump for Amerikkka." A student group, MEChA de UW-Madison, is holding up a large banner which reads: "Our Struggle Is Not Easy. Those who oppose our cause are rich & powerful and they have many allies in high places. We are poor, our allies are few but we have something the rich do not own. We have our bodies & spirits & the justice our cause as our weapon — Ceasar Chavez." |
