Map or Atlas
Highway Map of Wisconsin
This colored road map shows automobile roads in Wisconsin as well as portions of nearby states. The map is organized such that a single map of Wisconsin is divided on to two sides of a page, with the southern half on the front side and the northern half on the back side. Information on the quality and type of any road shown on the map (i.e. super highway, paved, dirt) is available in the legend in the bottom left corner on the front side. Above the legend, a street map of Milwaukee is superimposed upon the larger Wisconsin map. Along the left edge of the front page, promotional statements for Conoco's "New Super Gasoline" are featured. Along the left edge of the back page indexes of lakes, cities and towns, and counties shown on the map are available, and a street map of Duluth-Superior is superimposed upon the larger Wisconsin map. Lakes Superior and Michigan are shown, with ferry and boat lanes. In the top right corner of the back side of the map, there is a small map of Wisconsin and nearby states showing the distances between major cities. |
