This colored road map shows automobile roads in Wisconsin as well as portions of nearby states. Along the bottom edge of the front page, smaller road maps of Rhinelander, Green Bay, La Crosse, Madison, and Milwaukee are shown. Information on the quality and type of any road shown (paved, dirt, scheduled for construction, etc.) is included in the legend on the left edge of the front page. Along the right edge, an index of towns, cities and lakes in Wisconsin is featured. Lake Superior and Lake Michigan are shown, along with ferry lines and an index of ferry schedules. On the back side of the map, a mileage chart for major cities across the Continental United States is shown with "Sectional Trip Maps" of Wisconsin, Kansas City, Minneapolis, and Chicago. These maps show the distance of road between certain points on the map. In the top right corner of the back side, an index showing State and Federal tax rates on gasoline is featured. In the bottom left and right corners, information about the various services offered by the map creator, Texaco Petroleum Products, is included. |
