Map or Atlas
Description of Virginia
Three maps found within John Speed's atlas A Prospect of the Most Famous Parts of the World along with the corresponding text. The first map shows Virginia and Maryland oriented with north to the right, the second depicts New England, part of Canada, and New York, and the last map shows Jamaica. All label basic counties, regions, cities, rivers, lakes, and rivers, and include illustrated images of trees to depict wilderness. The text further describes the lands and maps. |
