Frank Fargo Advertisement
An advertising card includes a photograph of a man in an open carriage holding the reins of a team of Holstein-Friesian cattle. Two well-dressed men are sitting behind him. The caption under the photograph reads: "Frank B. Fargo giving his customers a ride." The advertisement describes the "Tyranena Herd of Holstein-Friesian Cattle" which Fargo established on his farm near Lake Mills. The name Tyranena has been used for both Rock Lake and a pre-historic Native American settlement near Lake Mills. |
