Album Page with Cousins
An album page comprises five photographic prints and a watercolor painting of a shooting star (Dodecatheon) flower. The photograph at lower right was taken at Rock Lake near Lake Mills, and includes, from left, Mrs. Frederick M. (Florence Brown) Griswold holding her son Frederick; Frank Barber Fargo; Dell Falk; Philip Falk (rear); Stuart Fargo in front of his sister Dorothy; William Griswold. They are posing in two rowboats moored near a boathouse at the water's edge. The other photographs were all taken on the grounds of the Robert Fargo house which is next to the Frank B. Fargo house. The photograph at top right includes Robert Fargo's son H.B. Fargo of Deerfield, sitting in the background with his wife, Lettie Cooper Fargo. Their daughters, Helen and Gladys, are at extreme left and right. Stuart Fargo, wearing a sailor suit, is standing with his back to the camera. His sister Dorothy is standing on the opposite side of the pool while younger brother Frank is standing next to Lettie in the background. The four older children are pretending to fish with rustic poles. Stuart, Frank and Dorothy are the children of Frank B. Fargo and are second cousins to Helen and Gladys. |
