Case Cover for Governor William Barstow Daguerreotype
Case (opened to show front and back) for daguerreotype made to resemble a bound book. Mother-of-pearl decoration on front in the form of flowers, stems and leaves. Spine of case is of leather with gilded decoration, and reads" "Bijou." The other three sides of the case are painted gold to simulate gilded pages. |
