This original drawing appeared in the Wisconsin State Journal on August 18, 1963, and is part of the Opening Day fishing season series created annually by Sid Boyum from 1963 to 1989. and read: "Gone are the Days of Scheduled Lakes,/ With Secret Fishing Spots You Could Recall,/ So With Whizzing Boats and Waterskis,/ This is How to Get Away From it All." |
