Elizabeth Farnsworth Mears

She is wearing a dark floor length dress with full skirt and sleeves. There is light-colored trim at the neck and wrists. Her left forearm is resting on the back of a chair. Mears moved to Wisconsin as a child from her home state of Massachusetts and lived most of her adult life in Oshkosh. She was an author who published under the pen name Nellie Wildwood. Her three daughters were sculptor Helen Farnsworth Mears, author Mary Mears, and illustrator (The Beautiful Land of Nod) Louise Mears Fargo. |
