Enoch Brown Fargo Residence

The Enoch B. Fargo residence shows a two-story Greek revival house with a gable wing with bay window facing the road. There is a full height ell on the left and a one-story ell with a columned porch on the right. There is a short balustrade above the bay window; all the windows have shutters. There is a hitching post in front of a fence which encloses the yard. Enoch B. Fargo, along with several of his brothers, was one of the earliest settlers in Lake Mills, arriving in 1844. He was involved in various business ventures there. |
