Map of the Southeastern part of the British Colonies in North America, Gulf Coast and Caribbean. It illustrates the of the Spanish and English fleets, particularly the route from St. Augustine to the western part of the Golf of Mexico, and the route around the Yucatan to Cuba. It also shows the borders, cities, towns, Native American land, forts, mines, islands, mountains, swamps, bays, lakes, and rivers. Annotations mark a few points of interest, such one in modern Texas reading "Here Mr. de la Salle was Killed 1687." Other notes provide further information on the land, forts, and Native Americans. |
