Doctor Cuyler Tanner
Sixth plate daguerreotype of Doctor Cuyler Tanner. Three-quarter length portrait, seated, facing forward, wearing double-breasted suit with stand collar and long-tailed tie. His right forearm rests on a cloth-covered table. His hair is combed forward over the temples. Hand-coloring on cheeks. Tanner was born June 12, 1792 in Stephentown, NY, and died October 7, 1857, aged 65. He had two sons and five daughters. One son, Ford, came to Whitewater, Wisconsin in 1851. On son, Kirk, came to Milton Junction, WI in 1858. One daughter, Harriet, came to Waukesha, Wisconsin in 1841. One daughter, Julia Ann, married a school teacher in 1842. |
