The dedication of Admiral Marc A. Mitscher, U.S. Navy historical marker in Hillsboro, the birthplace of Admiral Mitscher. Participants in the dedication and unveiling ceremony of the historical marker included, from left to right, Admiral J.J. Clark, Chairman of the Board of the Admiral Marc A. Mitscher Memorial Foundation, Wisconsin Governor Vernon Thomson, Mrs. Mitscher, widow of the admiral, Mrs. Zoe Hoevel, his sister, and Rear Admrial H.H. Caldwell, chief of the Naval air reserve training. Mrs. Mitscher and Mrs. Hoevel unveiled the marker honoring their family member to the public. |
