Potawatomi Couple
A Native American man and woman, identified only as Potawatomie [sic] Indians, posing in front of a log structure. The woman is wearing large earrings and a European style blouse and skirt, with shell necklaces and a beaded bag. She has a blanket draped over her left arm. Her moccasins have beading on the top. The man is wearing a shirt and pants, with shell necklaces and beaded regalia. Although his mocassins are plain, there are beaded bands around his ankles. He is holding an object in his right hand that may be a "tomahawk pipe." |
