This photograph was used as a visual prop for Sid's watercolor. The shack was built in 1908 by Hobart Johnson, son of John Johnson who was the founder of the Gisholt Machine Company. A black-and-white photo of the watercolor painting appeared in Wisconsin State Journal, Outdoor World section on January 28, 1973.
