Faulkner's Grave

Gravestone of William Cuthbert Faulkner and his wife, Estelle Faulkner, in St. Peter's Cemetery. The markers and gravestones are weathered and dirty, and the ground around the stones is muddy and covered in leaves. A few tea candles and a bottle of whiskey are sitting under the carved marker which reads: "Faulkner." Estelle's gravestone is too dark to read the inscription. William's gravestone reads: "William Cuthbert Faulkner. Born Sept. 25, 1897. Died July 6, 1962. Beloved, Go With God." |
