Aircraft Torpedo Manufacture
Two women inspect a drill press at an International Harvester factory. Original caption reads: "Dust prevention and cleanliness is so important as a factor in accuracy on some of the torpedo production jobs that a nurse in one of the dispensaries also acts as cleanliness inspector. She makes regular daily inspections of the department checking cleanliness, and has authority to stop any employee in his/her work and instruct them to brush up any dust or dirt. Here she is shown pointing out metal shavings to an employee and asking that they be removed." |
