Opening Day Fishing Season - The Reverse

Opening Day Fishing Season - The Reverse | Drawing | Wisconsin Historical Society
Imaginative pen-and-ink drawing of a man dressed in fishing gear suspended above the fireplace in a living room from a nail in the wall. Below the man is a salamander and lobster standing upright holding drinks, a snail and a turtle on the carpet in front of the fireplace, a frog in an armchair, and a fish with bandages reclining on a sofa. This drawing, titled "The Reverse," appeared in the Capitol Times on April 9, 1979 with Sid's caption: "My friend, John Armstrong, a plumber (on the mantel), went out on a job and failed to come back. Some folks said he went trophy fishing." Sid's authorship is in the lower center and his signature in the lower right corner with the year "79."
