Left side view of a Fokker F-10 Super Trimotor sitting on a runway. The tail identifier reads: N"C 8048." Written on the side of the plane is "Western Air Express," the logo of the airline company that owns it. The F-10 was powered by 3 Pratt & Whitney 400 hp Wasp engines, and could carry 12-14 passengers and 2 pilots. The cabin had a compartment for baggage and mail (these planes were used by the Postal Service) as well as a small bathroom. |
