Stamped leather case, burnt red velvet decoration. Double elliptical mat, stamped in lower right "363 Broadway N Y" Several successful daguerreotypists, Abraham Bogardus, and Samuel & Marcus Root, were listed at this address in New York City in the late 1840s-1850s.
