This map shows the Soo Line railroad and Arpin Hardwood Lumber Company lands in red. The top margin of the map reads: "Wisconsin, the safest state in the Union. A total failure of crops unknown. More State Fair premiums taken by Upper Wisconsin than any other part of the state." The back of the map shows company lands, wagon roads, farms or lands sold to settlers, and school houses in parts of Sawyer, Rusk, Washburn, and Barron Counties. |
