Oval stamped mat. Christian Jr (b. July 9, 1837), Ludwig (b. July 2, 1840), and Jacob (b. Jan. 29, 1843) were born in Wolfstein, Beiern. They immigrated to Indiana in 1845 and settled in Madison, Wisconsin in 1852. Christian Jr. ran a saddlery bordering the ccorner roof of Main and Butler Streets. At the same address his father, Dr. Boehmer, was a druggist/physician. In 1860 Dr. Boehmer was d=credited as being $2000 in property and goods. Siegfried Mittelstadt married Caroline Boehmer and they subsequently emigrated to Portland, Oregon. |
