Original caption reads: "This photograph appeared in the Christchurch 'Press' dated 18th August, 1945. The procession for Peace Day Celebrations was held on the 17th August, 1945. A Motor Car of 1908 [or 1906.] A feature of yesterday's Victor Procession in Christchurch was a 1908 two-cylinder International Motor car which traversed the streets of Christchurch under its own power. This old-fashioned, solid tyred car is the property of its first owner, Mr. W. Cook, Lyndhurst, Mid-Canterbury, who brought it 54 miles to Christchurch so that it could participate in yesterday's celebrations. Mr. Cook was one of the pioneer drivers of motor-cars in Canterbury, and the old International is the second car he has owned and driven."
