The Steamboat "Scutanawbequon"
Elevated view of the steamer "Scutanawbequon" being carried by a wagon to the lake for launching. This is probably a street on the Capitol Square. Many people are watching, and groups of people are in boats in other horse-drawn wagons. Behind the steam drum with the name "Scutanawbequon" on it is a store with a sign that reads: "Groceries and Provisions." The steamboat was launched on April 17, 1866. |
