The City of Waupun, Wisconsin
| This blueline print map shows lot and block numbers, additions, churches, and public land in North and South wards as they were in 1884. Towards the top of the map Rock River is clearly labeled. The lower right hand corner of the map has three notes. Note 1 reads: "This map is drawn from the original recorded plats of East Waupun, from certified copies of the recorded plats of 'Waupun,' and the several additions to East Waupun. Vacated parts thereof and unplatled lands are drawn from conveyanoes." Note 2 reads "Distances are given in rods except where noted."These two notes are signed by S. J. Sumner. Underneath these notes outlined in a box another note reads: "This map was copied from a photographed print of the original map. The print was fragile from age, but legible. Charles M. Donnelly City Engineer." |
