James G. Dunn Grocery

Photographic postcard of the James G. Dunn Grocery, with William John Dunn standing on the left and Maggie (O'Hare) Dunn on the right. Handwritten on the back is: "Corner of Pelham & Randall (Mercer) Rhinelander — Store and apts. — 4-5 Rm. & 2-3 Rm. (over store.) James Geo. Dunn Grocery - NOTE: His middle name was Gerald, not George. Wm. John (son) standing outside. (James Vs father). Woman may be J.G's wife Margaret O'Hara (O'Hare) Dunn or one of his daughters. Probably very late 1800s or early 1900s — Grandma (Margaret) had a millinery shop in left front corner (of the store)." The building was torn down in October of 1975 to make way for the new Bergman-Kopp Chiropractic Centre. |
