The four daughters of Conrad and Catherine Orb Seipp pose for an informal group portrait on the lawn at Black Point. The sisters are, left to right, Clara Seipp Bartholomay, Emma Seipp Schmidt, Alma Seipp Hay, and Elsa Seipp Madlener. On the far left is Clara's husband, Henry Bartholomay, Jr. Albert Fridolin Madlener, Elsa's husband, stands in the rear behind Emma. Clara holds a folding fan. The family had gathered to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the building of Black Point. Emma's husband, Dr. Otto L. Schmidt, and Alma's husband, William Sherman Hay, were deceased at the time of this portrait.
