Bronzeville was an African American neighborhood in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, circa 1910-circa 1950. This area, found within North Avenue, State Street, North 3rd Street, and North 12th Street was effectively formed by segregation, and became a cultural and economic hub for for its residents.
