"30 On the Square" Office Building
Stanly Sirotin is posing in front of the corner of the "30 On the Square" sky scraper. The low, steep angle of the photographer's camera, looking up, reveals nine stories of the building's still exposed frame. Signs on six of the floors state the floor number and its estimated completion date. Stanley Sirotin, is managing rental and construction. The new building on the Capitol Square was the first since 1936 dedicated solely to professional offices. "30 On the Square" is a 10-story glass-and marble-faced building at 10 W. Mifflin street. A Rennebohm drug store was on the ground floor. He also developed the Pyare Square building on University Ave. in 1966. |
