The Whiting House

View from water over boats towards the four-story wood frame Second Empire style Whiting House Hotel standing on the lake shore at Lake Geneva. Several sets of stairs lead to a porch which extends across the front of the first floor. A rustic gazebo stands at left, and other buildings of the village are seen on the right. A wharf extends along the waterfront and several rowboats, and a small steam launch with passengers, are moored in front of the hotel. Two men stand in front of a small building on the right with the sign "Sanford and Moore" above its awning. |
