The Cook house served as the second clubhouse of the Lake Geneva Yacht Club. Ernst Schmidt, an owner of Black Point Estate and grandson of Conrad Seipp, wrote a description of this photograph, "The old Cook house on the south shore of Geneva Lake opposite Williams Bay in January of 1927 at the time it belonged to the Yacht Club Corporation of Lake Geneva, the holding company for the Lake Geneva yacht Club. A view of the east side and the back side or south side of the house." See also Image ID: 118200 for another view of the building. |
