Boxcar Loading with Donated Clothing
Two men are transfering boxes of donated clothing from a truck into the open side of a railway freight car parked at Cross Plains. The two men are Frank Hoffer, and the Rev. Father Joseph Braig, both of Waterloo. Taped to the side of the boxcar is a large poster that reads: "Diocese of Madison Thanksgiving Clothing." Below that are two smaller identical posters with the picture of a young boy and the words: "Thanksgiving Clothing Collection." The effort was sponsored jointly by the Catholic Relief Services and the National Catholic Rural Life Conference. |
