Los Angeles Air Meet
The grandstand at the Los Angeles Aviation Meet, the first international aviation event held in the United States. The plane on the ground near the center is the British-built Farman flown by Louis Paulham. Although several planes were present at Los Angeles, only Glenn Curtiss and Paulham were able to get into the air. Arthur P. Warner, Wisconsin's first aviator, attended the event and served as timer. |
