Race Judges
The judges for the 1925 Inland Lake Yachting Association Regatta held at Lake Geneva are shown aboard Commodore Colonel William Nelson Pelouze's steamer "Fladora." A description written by Ernst Schmidt and kept with the photograph identifies the judges: "From the bow, reading aft: Addin P. Kaye of Lake Geneva and Sarasota, Florida - Mr. Powelk of Milwaukee, father [Dr. Otto Schmidt], and I do not know who the next person is — Mayor Thompson of Chicago at the wheel — R.A. Hollister of Oshkosh and J.T. O'Brien of Oshkosh and also secretary of the association. The dates of this regatta were August 17 to August 21, 1925." |
