Portrait of Charles Dickenson, a wealthy Chicago businessman and an early supporter of aviation. In addition to serving as president of the Chicago Aero Club, "Pop" Dickenson helped to finance the 1912 International Aviation Meet in Chicago. He later initiated the air mail route that would eventually become Northwest Airlines. |
