Langdon Street Home
View up street towards 228 Langdon Street, which was built in 1871 for attorney J.M. Flower. From 1875-1899 it served as the residence of distinguished University of Wisconsin professor William Francis Allen. The campus Lutheran Student Foundation acquired the property in 1941. It was demolished in 1948 to enable construction of a new Lutheran Student House, also known as the Allen House. |
