The tree is in a mechanical, rotating stand which itself is incorporated in a winter scene under the tree. There is a transitional ceiling chandelier with both gas and electric arms. Edward Petersen owned an oven manufacturing company in Chicago. His son, Dr. William F. Petersen, would marry Alma Schmidt, granddaughter of Chicago brewer Conrad Seipp. William and Alma Petersen were owners of Black Point Estate. |
