This map shows landownership on a military reserve, private claims, buildings (including Fort Howard and U.S. sawmill), swamps, public barns and fields, and a brick yard. This is a copy of a manuscript map, originally drawn in 1829 and copied in the Bureau of Topographical Engineers on August 26, 1862. Margins include manuscript annotations in pencil. A blue line print copy is also included that has notes and certifications. |
