Catherine Orb Seipp, widow of prominent Chicago brewer and founder of Black Point Estate, Conrad Seipp, poses in her Chicago home with her nine grandchildren.  They are, seated, from left, Alma Schmidt, Otto Madlener, Elsa Bartholomay, William Madlener (Otto's twin brother), Mrs. Seipp, and Ernst Schmidt.  Standing, from left, are Catherine Bartholomay, Henry Bartholomay, Clara (Tessa) Schmidt, and Albert F. Madlener, Jr.  All are wearing dress clothing.  On the reverse of the photograph is written, "Photograph taken in drawing room of 1300 Michigan Ave.  Pale blue satin draperies, cream colored lace curtains.  Gold and blue chairs.  Polar bear rug."
