This map shows railroads, towns, lights, lights to be established, fog signals, light-vessels, lighted buoys, light-house depots, and light-house reservation in portions of Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, and Indiana. Lake Michigan, Lake Huron, Lake Winnebago, and other lakes and rivers are labeled. The right margin reads: "This district includes all aids to navigation on Lake Michigan, Green Bay, and tributary waters lying west of a line drawn across the Straits of Mackinac just east of Old Mackinac Point Light-Station, Michigan." Manuscript annotations show car transport lines and life saving stations. Insets include Sturgeon Bay and Canal, Chicago & Calumet Harbors, Michigan City Harbor, Waukegan Harbor, Racine Harbor, and Milwaukee Bay. |
