Ledwith Carriage Manufactory
View across street towards three men standing in the open doorway of the Carriage Manufactory. James Ledwith operated this business at 211 E. Main Street from 1863 until his death in 1897. His sons operated it until they retired in 1910. The signs on the shop read: "J. Ledwith Carriage Painting, Trimming and Repair," and, on the other side, "J. Ledwith, Manufacturer Carriages & Sleighs." There are four carriages parked at the curb in front. |
