McCormick No. 4 Harvester Thresher
Original caption reads: "McCormick No. 4 harvester-thresher as built for Argentine in 1925. This model was originally developed for the domestic trade in 1924 but only a limited number, approximately 100 machines, were put out that year. Thereafter it was sold only in South American countries, reaching a peak production of 1500 machines in 1926. It was replaced by the No. 10 in 1927. The No. 4 was the so-called 'low feed' type of harvester-thresher and was a forerunner of the present nos.10 and 11 machines. It had a rigid 12-ft platform, engine mounted above main axle recleaner, high-type bagging platform and ball bearing cylinder. The complete machine weighed approximately 7500 pounds." |
