Two teen girls examining the contents of large rosemaled (painted decorations) wooden box. The original caption states: "Norwegian rosemaling on a American high school Red Cross gift chest which may be destined for the Congo or Iran poses some interesting international relations for two of the Stoughton High School Red Cross volunteers who worked on the project. Sandy Kanvik, left, and Julie Walling, shown packing final items of its educational, recreational, and health supplies." The decorative painting on the chest was done by Mrs. Ruby Olsen. |
