Music Room
| A grand piano with ornate shawl stands in front of the fireplace in the music room at Black Point. The fireplace surround is covered with ornate ceramic tiles. There are oriental rugs on the wood floors and lace curtains hang in the windows in a bay. There are painted friezes below the crown molding over the fireplace and one of the windows. The room is decorated with potted plants and cut flowers. Framed photographs of Catherine Seipp (left) and one of her daughters stand on the piano. There is a landscape painting over the fireplace and a simple six arm chandelier hangs from the ceiling. On the reverse of the photograph is written, "At the time of Aunt Clara and Uncle Henry's 60th wedding anniversary." Clara Seipp, daughter of Chicago brewer Conrad Seipp, married Henry Bartholomay, Jr. July 12, 1894. |
