Digging Out Train Tracks
A winter scene with men digging out the train tracks by hand after a big snow storm in Racine County. Trees and a fence line the sides of the railroad right of way. Hand written on reverse: "The great snow fall." Between February 27th and March 4th, 1881, 2 to 4 feet fell in eastern and central Wisconsin with drifts up to 20 feet. |
